| First take a square sheet of paper. The one I've used is checkered on one side. |

| Fold it in half. |

| Fold in half once again. |

| Now open it up and flatten it out. |

| Fold the bottom of the paper so that the edge meets the crease at the center. |
![]() |
| Turn it over. |
![]() |
| Bring the bottom corners to meet at the center line. |
![]() |
| Turn it over. |
![]() |
| Fold it so that the tip goes up to meet the top edge. |
![]() |
| Turn it over and you'll see this. |

| Gently insert your finger into one of the flaps like this... |
![]() |
| ...And flatten it out like this. |
![]() |
| Do the same for the other flap. |

| Now fold both the corners sticking out so that they form triangles like this. |
![]() |
| Fold the tips of the triangles upwards so that they meet the edge. |
![]() |
| Now fold one side of the paper inward to meet the center, like this. |
![]() |
| Do the same with the other side. |
![]() |
| Turn it over, and voila! Your bookmark is ready! |
![]() |
| You can even use it to mark exactly which line you're on! |
